I am privacy, intellectual property, and technology lawyer who enjoys partnering with technology clients to solve and avoid legal problems.

Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, I studied mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan and attended law school at University of Houston Law Center while working as a patent agent for Shell Oil Company. After law school, I spent time working abroad in the Netherlands as a lawyer for the Shell IP department. After a few years of real world law practice, I went back to school to pursue an LLM in intellectual property at the University of Houston Law Center.

In 2012, I joined Microsoft as a licensing attorney in the OEM business and later moved to a prodyct counsel role where I supported a variety of hardware projects including the Microsoft HoloLens, Microsoft Health, and the Microsoft Band. I continued counseling clients developing new form factor devices at Google, where I counseled AR/VR and helped form the XR Association. After a few years counseling in the AR/VR space, I decided to move to the Payments and Next Billion Users team to counsel products for payments products for emerging markets. After helping to launch Google Station in nine different countries, I helped launch Google Wallet in 80+ markets and led the Wallet product counsel team. I now lead the product counsel function at Roblox.

I am passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, having served as a member of corporate diversity councils at Shell, Microsoft, and Google. My personal claim to fame is competing in and winning the world’s largest global scavenger hunt, GISH with my awesome team known as the Vatican Cameos. I’ve completed a yoga teacher training with Rusty Wells and am a mild Peloton devotee. I have a lovely husband named Indy and adorable toy poodle named Toast.
